I KNOW! Where have we been? Well, if you read the previous post, it’s pretty much Elliot…oh and quitting my job. oh yeah, and moving to Austin. All in a span of 2-1/2 months. Yes folks, repeat after me, change is good. We planned to do all of this but the short time span in which to do it was one of those life’s little surprises. We might even have a buyer for the condo already. Talk to me April 15th.

After Ellie was born, we decided it was best that I stay home for longer than the normal maternity leave allowed by the University. This ultimately meant I had to quit. However, the university is contracting with me on some projects so it’s not all over. I’m still trying to find some kind of schedule with Ellie. We have our good days and some are just ‘I need my mommy at all times’ days. I’m learning to take it in stride and not panic as I’m at least staying busy. Staying home all the time for 2 months wasn’t fun and even still going out with Ellie is still a little intimidating with her still pretty little. She’s getting bigger everyday though and she’s getting quite the personality. Scott found a great job in Austin that was too good to pass up so it meant a rather brisk planning to move here. We’re renting a great house for now until the condo sells. Then we’ll start looking for a real house.

I’m still freelancing from home and so far I haven’t really been having to look for projects, so maybe I can keep going for awhile. Socializing for now has been pretty minimal and I do get a little cabin feverish. Yes, going to the grocery store on the weekend is a fun thing now. I know this will get better as Elliebean gets older. Getting back into reading at least.
